Based in Frederick, Maryland, Kurt Weierstall has owned and managed operations at Embrasure Development in Alexandria since 2009. In 2023, Kurt Weierstall also served as the director of real estate for Middleburg’s Catawba Corporation. He provided design drawings for a Fast Casual Retail addition project and produced design drawings for a small, mixed-use commercial building in historic Middleburg. He also functioned as the asset manager for the Catawba Corporation ownership multi-state portfolio comprising 35 properties.
Kurt Weierstall studied architecture at Syracuse University. He has garnered several awards during his career in architecture, including a 2006 South Atlantic Region Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects and a 2004 Best Repositioning or Rehabilitation win at the National Association of Home Builders Multi-Family Pillars of the Industry Awards, among others. In 2024, he enrolled in a master of business administration program at the Quantic School of Business in Washington, DC.
Mr. Weierstall is a member of the Syracuse University Alumni Network. He attends various home-building conventions and construction industry events. In addition to design and architecture, his interests include golf, travel, and wine.
